Custom Tumblers – A Young Mom’s Unsung Hero
5am – Wake up call… The new baby is hungry!
You tip-toe to the kitchen to warm up the bottle – making as little noise as possible trying to get that pot of black gold brewin’.
Bottle’s warm – back to the bedroom to take over baby time so hubby can shower.
You start to smell the roasty goodness and hear the familiar bubbling and churning… coffee is done!
Off to pour yourself a cup and **creeeeeeeeeeekkkkkkk** – baby’s big brother is awake.
Looks like coffee has to wait… or does it?
This young mom is savvy and reaches into her cabinet for her custom glitter Taylor Swift tumbler.
She quickly fills the tumbler with the aromatic goodness and sneaks in her favorite hazelnut coffee creamer.
Big brother wants to do a puzzle!
Good news, no spilling happens here. Mom’s Tay Tay tumbler is leak proof, so little man is safe to knock it over and there will be no boo boo burns today!
Mom gets in a few sips, then it’s time to get to preschool.
Hubby barely makes it out of the house with his shirt on right and grabs his tumbler to go as he kisses you goodbye.
Load up the mini van – it’s time for the commute! JUST DON’T FORGET THE TUMBLER!!!
On the road, listening to Blippi songs and singing along with the kids. Have a few more sips of coffee to keep the energy up – careful! It’s still hot!
Big brother at school, baby girl’s in the car seat. Time to run some errands.
- Amazon return back to the UPS store – check!
- Cash out of the bank for hubby’s much needed haircut – check!
- Stopped and got ingredients for big brother’s birthday cake at the end of the week – check!
- Coffee still hot? – CHECK!
The day goes on as usual – Pick little man back up from pre-school and make him lunch. Feed the baby… multiple times. Watch all the favorites like Elmo and the Cat in the Hat while folding miniature pants and sweaters.
The coffee is long gone now, but the late afternoon calls for just one more tumbler fill with the Keurig to push through.
Hubs gets home then it’s dinner and bath time.
All babies in bed now – it’s mom time!
TayTay – time to rinse out the coffee. Mom grabs a crisp Riesling from the fridge and fills the tumbler to the brim.
Oh good! Gilmore Girls reruns are on! Hubs passes out on the couch and mom’s wine stays ice cold while she spends some time with Lorelai and Rory.
